Saturday, October 1, 12:00-2:30 pm Touch-A-Truck (right after the parade) Come to Ryland Park (right outside of the library) to see and explore your favorite big trucks and heavy machinery. This FREE event will provide children with the opportunity to explore large vehicles of all types, including those used by professionals in construction, public safety, transportation, tractors, and other industries. Bring out the entire family to enjoy sitting in these trucks and learning about what they do, how they work, and how they benefit our community!
Tinker Tuesdays, October 4, 11, 18, 25 at 3:45 pm (kids 7 and under must bring an adult) This program focuses on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) projects. Programs such as these give kids permission to experiment through the exploration of materials with guided facilitation to complete an end project. We provide a different activity each week.
Toddler Tales, Wednesdays at 9:30 am (for kids birth to 4) Give your child a boost in early literacy. Our program provides intentional practice of the five early childhood predictors: oral language, phonemic awareness, alphabet awareness, concepts about print, and early writing. Through the exploration of books, vocabulary, rhyming, rhythm, music, and movement, your child will be excited to learn and play.
Art Lab, Wednesdays, October 5, 12, 19, 26 at 3:45 pm (kids 7 and under must bring an adult) Learn about an artist, and an art concept, and create an artist-inspired piece!
Monday, October 31, 3:00-6:00 pm — Halloween Open House Trick-or-Treat at the library and have fun doing some hands-on activities!
