TUESDAYS at 3:45pm–Tinker Tuesday Kids age 7-12 engage in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) activities after school. Tinker Tuesdays give kids permission to experiment through the exploration of materials with guided facilitation to complete an end project. (Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

WEDNESDAYS, Toddler Tales — 9:30am Give your child a boost in early literacy. Our program provides intentional practice of the five early childhood predictors: oral language, phonemic awareness, concepts about print and early writing. Through the exploration of books, new vocabulary, rhyming, rhythm, music, and movement. Your child will be excited to learn and play!

Sunday, October 3rd from 1:30-3:30 pm–Touch-A-Truck See, touch, and safely explore your favorite big trucks and heavy machinery. This FREE event will provide children with the opportunity to check out large vehicles of all types, including those used by professionals in construction, public safety, transportation, tractors and other industries.

Wednesday, October 6th from 3:45-5:00pm–Art Lab We’ll be learning about pop art and the artist Andy Warhol as we practice printing. Open to folks 7 on up!

Wednesday, October 13th from 3:45-5:00pm–Art Lab We’ll be exploring artist Wassily Kandinsky, begin sketching, and making a Kandinsky inspired project using oil pastels. Open to folks from 7 on up!

Wednesday, October 20th from 3:45-5:00pm–Art Lab We’ll learn about Georgia O’Keeffe, and her oversized flowers using mixed media, oil pastels and watercolors. Open to folks 7 on up!

Saturday, October 23rd from 7:00-9:00pm–OUTDOOR Zombie Apocalypse with NIGHT NURSE DJ Come dressed in Zombie apparel! We’ll be playing fames and zombie tag and dancing the the tunes of the Night Nurse DJ. This program is geared toward tweens and teens but all night crawlers are welcome!

Wednesday, October 27th from 3:45-5:00pm–Art Lab We’ll be learning about Frank Lloyd Wright and constructing a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired faux stained glass window made with contact paper, construction paper, and tissue paper. Open to folks 7 on up!

Sunday, October 31st from 4:30-6:30pm–Halloween Open House Trick-or-Treat at the library and check out our fun games!

Sunday, November 14th at 1:30pm–Author Visit with Kay Tiedeman Young, author of “Sonny and His Car”. Hear of Sonny Tiedeman’s experience and the relationships forged right here in Lancaster.

Monday, November 29th from 4:00-5:30pm–Green Lizard Science from UW-Platteville. Hear a story and participate in a STEAM Lab about biomes with UW biology students!
