The use of meeting space rooms is currently free, but donations to the Library or the Lancaster Public Library Foundation are accepted.

The Community Rooms and the adjoining kitchen are available to the community for meetings, programs, and events. The Community Room has a capacity of 87 or can be split into two smaller rooms with capacities of 43 each.

The Performance Plaza is a unique outdoor venue. There are outlets for sound equipment and other electronics, as well as a storage area for items that will be used regularly or which will be stored at the Library full-time.

Study rooms are intended for use by individuals to work in a quiet environment and for small groups to work or meet privately. Study Rooms may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis no more than a year in advance. They may also be used by walk-in patrons if there are no standing reservations.

How to Submit a Room Reservation Request:

For first-time users: Click on the “Reserve a Room” button, then create a new account. You’ll need your email address and you will create a password for your account. After creating the account, check your email for confirmation. (Note: It may be in your spam folder. The email is listed as being from Schreiner Memorial Library.) Click the link in that email to confirm, and mark the email as a safe sender so that later messages end up in your inbox instead.

To Reserve a room:
Log in on Spaces with your email address and password.
Search for open rooms by date and time.
Choose any equipment needed from the list on the left side of the screen.
Click “Pick Me” on the desired room and fill out the requested information.
Submit your form, then wait to be notified by email that your request has been approved (typically within 24 hours during the week, or by the following Monday on a weekend).
Helpful Hint: If you are having trouble finding an available space, click “see unavailable spaces” at the bottom of the screen so you can see what hours might be available on a given date.
